My students need markers, paper, and post-it notes to work in small cooperative groups to prepare for the end of year assessments.

My Students

The economy has made it very difficult in the classroom, more students to teach and not enough supplies to go around.

I teach 8th grade math in a low-income, high need community.

My classes consists of students with a variety of individual needs. My school is committed to finding ways to help our students succeed. When students are able to see instructional content from more than one perspective, research shows that the student is more likely to master the concepts.

My Project

The resources I am asking for will enable me to make math fun for my math students. I will not have to rely on just the text book examples and practice worksheets on skills that I have taught. The markers, paper, and post-it notes will make it possible for the students to engage in small group centers, sharing their knowledge through foldables and mini presentations. I do not have the funds to provide students with the basic supplies for my classroom and the students do not have the funds to purchase them personally. The markers, paper, and post-it notes will be extremely useful for end of year projects and study guides for the state assessments.

Your help will help me to keep my students interested and actively involved in the learning process.

It is my goal to reach 100% of my students and your help will make me that much closer to reaching this goal!
