Help me give my students a fully stocked classroom library! My cart includes multiple copies of popular books for high schoolers so they can find their love of reading.

My Project

Imagine a classroom full of interesting and exciting books! These books will help my students build their love of reading and bolster the culture of reading at my school. I am creating a choice-based independent reading program to give my 9th-grade students more opportunities to read, since the current curriculum only includes one book per year. Our students deserve better choices, more rigor, and to enjoy a classroom community that uplifts being a reader.

I teach impressive students who come to our school for amazing vocational/ technical programs, but they are readers too!

By offering high-interest books for independent reading, I hope to not only strengthen my students’ literacy, but also inspire them to become lifelong readers.
