Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Pre-K in a high need community. This is our first year of full time Pre-k in our school.
I use my own boombox that only works for Cd's. The sound doesn't work for the tape deck. Sometimes we are lucky if I hold it up in the air. It's time for a new set.
With a proper listening center, the children can listen to audio books and songs during center time in small groups of 4 without interfering with the other groups. The earphones will keep the noise level down while others work. We can also listen to some soothing music during our nap time and while we eat. Music and movement help develop gross motor skills as well.
