My Students
My students range in age from PreK to 5th grade. They all have very different learning styles and interests! Help me build my repertoire of speech materials in order to make learning fun, meaningful & educational for each of my kids!
My Project
You may be thinking "how can you possibly use a balloon pump in speech therapy?" Well, to answer your question, (most) children LOVE balloons, which makes them highly motivating! Hiding balloons in the pump allows the therapist to elicit a variety of core vocabulary i.e. open, close, put on, uh oh, ready set go.. etc. It also allows for color sorting and identification as well as requesting for example. " I want a blue balloon".
The Rainbow Sorting Crayons also have the potential to elicit a variety of language skills!
Requesting, turn-taking, sorting, and categories just to name a few.
The requested WH question cards are pretty straightforward. A lot of students have difficulty understanding the various question forms (who what where when why). These cards are premade and organized to allow the therapist to teach each question in isolation with visual answer choices. These cards can even be molded into a game in order to provide positive reinforcement!
