Think! You can think of anything you wish! by Dr. Seuss. My wish for my students is to have supplies in the classroom to help them achieve their greatest potential.
I teach at a Title 1 school with a high poverty level.
Many of my students do not have the materials at home to be successful. I want to inspire them to be the best at what they are doing by providing them with the tools needed to become lovers of reading and writing.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are vocabulary journals, dictionaries, composition journals and a tabletop writing center. With these materials my students will be able to learn how to become fluent readers and wonderful writers. The dictionaries and vocabulary journals will help the students become knowledgeable and learn new and exciting words. They will be able to write wonderful stories because they will have a new vocabulary. They will also help me to keep supplies organized and sorted for future use. The supplies will be easily accessible to all students and their organization will help students be responsible for their writings and the materials.
With your support and help I will help my students become successful in the classroom.
With these materials I will be able to help my students love to read and write and to meet their fullest potential.
