My Project
One thing that preschoolers love is stickers! They get so excited when they earn a sticker, especially scratch and sniff stickers! Preschool is the first school experience for most children, and my goal is to make school fun and exciting for them to earn fun incentives.
I learned a few years ago that having children peel their own sticker off the sheet improves their pincher grasp for fine motor activities. Now I use stickers for not just incentives but for learning as well. My students each have a journal for the letter of the week, and they use stickers to cover the big letter, reinforcing their fine motor skills as well as their letter recognition skills.
