This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I wake up every morning excited to start my day. I feel like I am the luckiest person on Earth for being able to work with such an amazing group of kids. Nearly all of my fourth-grade students come from low-income households and they are struggling to perform at grade level because they don't have the resources at home to succeed. Most of them are English language learners and some of them are students with disabilities.
However, despite their struggles, their eagerness to learn is inspiring.
My goal is to get all of my students the access to resources they need to succeed academically.
My Project
As everyone knows, kids these days are obsessed with slime and my students are no exception. Help me give my students the opportunity to experience the STEM project of their dreams! My students have been begging me to help them learn how to make slime. These slime kits will be perfect to help each child have the hands on experience of mixing their own ingredients to create slime. This project will allow them to learn how to follow directions, mix, create and play with something that they have made. Truly an exceptionally fun day in school!
