Help me give my students copies of a book written by an alumna of our school.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Today our school was visited by Carolina Ixta, an alumna of our high school and a local teacher. Carolina's new book, "Shut Up, This is Serious," is a story that takes place in our community with characters that resemble my students.
My students are excited about the idea of reading a book that was written by a local woman, and a Latina writing about Latina students.
I will be adding these books to my classroom library and including it as an option in a free-choice reading project. This project is designed to get students excited about reading.
