Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our school, the students have difficulty reading. Some kids don’t have the opportunity to read at home. This upcoming year, I want my students to start building a love for reading. I would love to start building a classroom library with flexible seating throughout the classroom. I have included book cubbies, cushion chairs, and rocking chairs to help build that love.
I also included some crayons to retell the story using their own imaginations.
I’d love to have led lights to be able to turn off the harsh school lights and build a comfy environment. I hope this project gets funded, I am sure my new class would love this idea and reading would definitely strengthen their test scores.
