Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a lower SES neighborhood where many start behind their peers. However, they come eager and wanting to learn and I hope to keep that momentum up by providing a safe, fun learning environment.
These letter manipulatives will get the foundational skills of reading off to a great start!
I hope to use these letter cards, picture tiles and sensory letters to really help my students that need extra intervention to master the skills.
The rings, spice rack and desk organizer will be used to help get materials ready and easily available for student use.
The paint palette, pop its, and highlighter friends will be used to help emphasis different sounds in words during small group time. They will be used mainly for sound manipulation when we are working with individual words.
I will use the Catch phonics game during center and individual practice.
I think all of these are very beneficial to helping get a good reading foundation started.
