Help me give my students leveled readers and books in general for them to read during this virtual school year since they don't have access to the classroom library.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Martin's classroom raised $296
This project is fully funded
My Students
My 16 amazing students are doing distance learning for the remainder of the school year. They come from low income households, as we are a Title I school. I have a diverse population of students who come from many different cultures. My classroom also consists of students who have special needs. Although it's been tough for my students to learn over the computer they remain positive and excited to learn each day! They all have hearts of gold!!
My Project
I would love to give my students books that will enhance their reading. Many of them do not have books of their own at their house or if they do they are not on their level. Also, remaining virtual for the rest of the year they won't have access to our classroom library. Having this project funded will give them not just one but multiple books on their level as well as slightly above in order to challenge them.
Lastly, I also have an amazing read aloud book called "Same but Different." I would love to have this book to read to my class because as I mentioned above I have a diverse population of students who come from different backgrounds.
At this age its important for them to embrace their differences but to also realize it doesn't make anyone any less because we are all the same inside.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
