My students need a Force & Motion Activity Tub and a Simple Machines Activity Tub.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Parker's classroom raised $175
This project is fully funded
I am a fifth grade teacher in a low income school in Florida. Many of our students lack the prior experience and parental support needed to build life long learners. Providing meaningful and enriching lessons for my students is imperative to their learning.
This year my 5th grade students must pass a state standardized test in science and we need as many hands-on experiences as we can get to reach our full potential. Reading about simple machines and force and motion gives students basic information. However, operating a machine that has a pulley system or using materials to build roller coasters help students get a better understanding of why and how something happens while providing a memorable experience. Students learn best with concrete examples. Having these resources will provide multiple concrete examples of how simple machines and forces and motion work.
These physical science resources will provide students an exciting look at force and motion by having students race cars down ramps, build rollercoasters, and watch balloon rockets zoom by. The simple machines kit will allow students to build their own machines out of marshmallows and create their own pulley systems. All of these materials will make science the best subject of the day.
Only you can help us make science exciting for my students. These materials are just not available to teachers in the schools. Thank you for your consideration.
