My students need interactive phonics journals and puzzles to help them with their decoding skills. This will be used during our ELA center time, when we have intensive small group instruction to support struggling readers.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Loga's classroom raised $180

My Students
The following projects will be used for the 2016-2017 school year. My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of the families I work with have no money to purchase school supplies for their children, so we try to provide as much material as possible for the classroom.
I have many families that are new to the country and speak little English or no English at all.
For some students who are new to the country, they have had no formal schooling.
My students are very bright and want to learn. My goal is to expose the students to as many hands on and engaging learning opportunities as possible!
My Project
My students are struggling readers. The journals and puzzles will allow students to work on skills independently to meet their individual needs. Students will be engaged through these hands on materials. Journals will give students a systematic way to record their own progress and be proud of how much they have grown over time.
The world map will help us embrace all of our cultural differences within the classroom.
My students come from all over the world and it will be an amazing experience to talk about this and have students mark where they were born right on the map! Fostering a healthy classroom community will allow for my students to reach their maximum potential as learners.
