My 3rd graders are amazing little individuals! They come into my classroom every morning with bright energetic smiles ready to take on the day.
Our school is an AVID Elementary school, that focuses on positive growth mindset through student's individual determination.
The student's in my classroom, believe in themselves and each other. They work collaboratively in small groups throughout the day. Each member is very important to the learning process by positively encouraging and helping each other.
We thank you for your support!!!
My Project
Students are inside the classroom for the majority of the day, for 5 days a week. As much as I like to get them up and moving around while learning, sometimes that just isn't enough.
Not every student is able to sit still in a chair at their desk and be able to 100% focus on their academics.
With these flexible seating options, those students would be able to choose how to sit or stand while still participating in the classroom. This will allow the students to wriggle out their energy and still concentrate on their lessons without disrupting other students.
The balance balls and bouncy bands are going to allow students to stay at their small groups or desks and still fidget without disturbing their teammates wether working together or alone.
For students that prefer to work alone and sometimes not at their desks, the recliner stadium seat will allow them to go sit somewhere else and still be fully participating with the assignment.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
