My Students
Basic organizational skills are essential for students to comprehend so that they are successful not only in the educational system, but also in life.
I teach in an urban school district, where supplies for a classroom are of high demand, and the school budget limits what can be purchased for my classroom.
There are 160 students in the seventh grade that I teach on a daily basis. With so many students utilizing my classroom, it is essential that the Science classroom is organized and clutter-free, so that all the students are to make use of the classroom supplies without confusion or perplexity.
My Project
The organizational resources requested for the classroom will enable the classroom to be utilized more efficiently. With bins colored coded, students are able to identify and differentiate between work for their classroom and different assignments without difficulty. Magnetic folders will allow students to pick up their missing assignments, or make-up work individually. Pocket folders will permit students to obtain extra worksheets, in case of absence or missing work. Additionally, students will be able to use bins for scientific laboratory material when performing lab activities and other group work.
The donations for our classroom will create an organized and efficient learning environment.
Students will be able to obtain supplies, assignments, and equipment without confusion and perplexity. Students will have a more smooth and accessible environment. An organized environment will allow the students to be more successful within the science classroom.
