My Students
At our school, our students are eager to learn by doing. We use an arts-infused curriculum to encourage self-exploration, build self-confidence, and increase social and emotional development.
I enjoy working with my students because they are innovators and collaborators that thrive on interactive learning experiences.
They are imaginative and curious about the world around them.
Eighty-seven percent of our students are eligible for free and reduced-price lunch, and more than one-third of our families reside in subsidized housing. We partner with our students and families to provide a high-quality early childhood education and set them up for success.
My Project
Every child deserves opportunities to learn in their own unique way. My classroom residents and I looked around our room and realized that we could be providing more opportunities for creative, culturally-relevant learning.
Our little learners need more STEM, dramatic play, and sensory items so that our students can be creative in each of our classroom's learning centers.
We want our classroom to provide more authentic opportunities for learning for their level.
These lasting resources will shape and grow their learning skills in ways all their own. As classroom resident A-Keyla said, "By providing these opportunities, we'll be planting seeds that will last a lifetime."
