This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are serious computer scientists in the making! My Mobile Apps students are highly motivated and passionate about technology. In our class, we learn by doing and experimenting with code. Programming can be frustrating, however, we fine tune our skills with every "bug" in our program.
We are on our way to getting certified as Microsoft Office Specialists; 75% of those who took all three tests in our last cohort reached this goal.
We are getting job ready and preparing to be leaders and technologists of tomorrow.
My Project
Our magnet area hosts three clubs: a Future Business Leaders of Tomorrow Club, an e-Sports team and a coding club called Spartan Coders.
These clubs are wonderful, safe spaces, and breeding grounds for leaders of tomorrow and we need your help to keep our kids coming back for more!
We need your help to continue to give our students a fun, engaging experience with a popcorn machine which students can enjoy during their after-school activities. This will greatly help the three club sponsors who have to scramble for funds for snacks and food during meetings. Secondly, we want to continue to entice our students to engage in our after-school programs, and this will be a great attraction for our students.
