Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarten is sometimes the first time students have ever been in school and it is important to teach the the fundamentals. Organization is a key part in their success to learning. They need to learn to place things back where they belong and keep their space nice and tidy. These chair covers will allow my students to place all workbooks in a safe place that will be easy to use.
My students are excited to come to school everyday and look forward to learning new things.
Not only are they learning academics but the social skills they will need in the future. The goal is to teach my students organization skills from an early age to succeed in the future.
My students are very special because many come from a household with limited funds and many share rooms with multiple siblings. Their classroom needs to feel like a second home but with the resources they might not have at home. A special place of their own to store their books and materials would make their kindergarten experience more memorable.
