I am a Special Education teacher in a Third Grade Integrated Co-Teach Class where there are Special Education students learning alongside general education students.
Our school consists of culturally and linguistically diverse students within a low socioeconomic community.
This past year has been a challenging one with students learning remotely. Children have suffered academically, but moreover, socially and emotionally. They are eager to learn.
We will be all heading back to the school building in September and I need to start planning NOW to be ready to start off the year with with a bang!
My Project
Getting our students back into a routine in September is going to be challenging. They have been learning remotely for over a year!
Creating a fresh, brightly colored and organized classroom environment is key!
Having storage caddies, bins for notebooks and folders will be so helpful in organizing the classroom and creating a welcome environment.
This is especially crucial since half of my students will be special education students.
Please help me create a welcoming, calm and inviting classroom for my students this September.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity!
