My Students
"A place for everything and everything in it's place." by Benjamin Franklin. What a better way to start a new school year and teaching a new grade level?
I started the new school year teaching first grade students and three weeks in, I find myself with fourth grade children.
Despite the transition, each group of students are great. They attend a Title I school in a high-poverty neighborhood. A high percentage has very limited resources or able to bring in the needed school supplies due to their families socio-economical status. This, however, doesn't make them any different than any normal child. I am blessed to be called their teacher.
My Project
The student work organizer and tabletop communication center will be utilized to better organize our classroom environment. Being that I teach two different groups and two subjects, I will be able to keep children's materials in an orderly fashion. Another goal I hope to achieve with these items is to not waste time having students look for paperwork in backpacks or desk because they will have it neatly put in the these pieces.
