My Students
Help us learn to take responsibility for our materials. Preschool children are so excited to share all their beautiful work with their families and love to borrow materials from the classroom. They need help transporting materials back and forth.
My classroom is very diverse, all my students are wonderful and special in their own way.
One characteristic that is similar in all of them is the pride they take in their school work. My preschool students attend a public school in Illinois. Most of my students are low income and English language learners.
My Project
These backpacks will allow my students to safely bring materials to and from school. Parents will see if there are important notices and information from school and teachers will also see if there is information for them to see. With every child having the same backpack, children do not have to feel like they are without.
These backpacks will not only help my students learn responsibility for their materials, they will help them bring their home to the classroom and the classroom to their home.
They will help greatly with communication between the teachers and the parents.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
