My Students
At our Girls' Leadership Academy, girls are growing, leading and achieving daily. Our young ladies are encouraged to counter mass-media influences, giving them room to decide for themselves who they are and to guarantee that math, science, and technology are integral parts of the curriculum. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
As any teacher knows, some students have great organizational skills and others are … let’s just say, organizationally challenged. My students may have no sense of order telling them how items might be clustered together to be more accessible. As a result, they often spend much time searching for materials that they have misplaced.
"With seat sack organizers, my students will be able to place all needed supplies for the morning, as well as the afternoon, in their seat sacks.
Then, when supplies are needed, they will be able to quickly locate and retrieve needed supplies without wasting instructional time."
This item will certainly help my students be organized and will assist with transitions and functionality in our classroom. Any help would be greatly appreciated to help make this the best year for the wide variety of students I serve!
