My Students

I will be teaching third grade this year! I am so excited because third graders are so ambitious and enthusiastic about learning! At my school, students come from different backgrounds and cultures. My classroom is very diverse and each student learns in their own unique way.

My goal is to provide them with the tools they need to reach their full potential in all aspects of their life.

I have high expectations for all my students. My students always reach my expectations because they know I believe in them!

My Project

I am so excited to be able to teach all my students in person this year. However, that means I need some items to help make this year a success. I teach approximately 40 third-grade students literacy all year long and I believe it is very important to explicitly teach Tier 2 vocabulary words, so students can comprehend what they are reading.

Everything on my wish list is to help students start the year off organized with vocabulary binders, dividers, pencil containers, and chair pockets to store their belongings.

The numbered divider tabs are for my students' vocabulary binders! Each number will represent a week. For example, the tab labeled "1" will be for Week 1 vocabulary and the table labeled "2" will be for Week 2 vocabulary. Students' vocabulary work will go behind the appropriate tab.

The chair pockets are for when my co-teacher's students visit my classroom for literacy. They will store their vocabulary binders, reading books, highlighters, and pencil containers in their respective chair pocket. I want them to feel like my classroom is their home, too!

The toothbrush containers will be used as pencil containers! It is a classroom hack I discovered a couple of years ago and it is a game-changer! My current toothbrush/pencil containers are cracked and I would like enough to share with all my students. Students hold four pencils in the toothbrush container and can switch out their pencils at the end of the month. It helps students keep up with their pencils!

Thank you so much for your contribution!
