it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested supply cart will make a significant impact by providing students with autism easy access to the materials and resources they need for Lunar New Year activities. Having a dedicated, mobile cart will allow students to work independently or with minimal support, encouraging them to engage in crafts, learning activities, or sensory-based projects related to the holiday. This cart will help organize supplies like art materials, sensory tools, or cultural items (e.g., stickers, coloring sheets, or zodiac figures), ensuring that students have what they need readily available. By having materials on hand, students can better focus on their creative tasks without getting distracted or frustrated by having to wait or look for supplies, thus fostering greater independence and engagement.
The students in this project are special because of their individual strengths, challenges, and learning styles.
Many of the students have autism, which means they may process sensory information in unique ways, making it important to provide them with materials and activities that cater to their specific needs. These students may thrive in structured, predictable environments where they can access resources independently. The ability to have a supply cart with organized materials ensures that their learning space is not only functional but also adaptable to their unique preferences. What makes these students especially remarkable is their capacity for creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression when given the right tools and opportunities. By supporting their learning through a well-organized and accessible supply cart, we are empowering them to participate fully in meaningful activities that enhance their learning, independence, and sense of accomplishment.
