Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Get ready, get set, go! Help my students get moving with fun and engaging equipment and games.
I teach a group of 26 energetic and curious four year-olds.
They love to ask questions and learn through play. They attend a pre-K through 6th grade public elementary school. It is an urban school. A majority of the students at our school are from low socio-economic status households and qualify for free or reduced lunch.
My Project
These resources will help my students develop their gross motor skills. They will learn how to catch, throw, jump, and hop. My students will also be able to further develop their social skills by playing these games in a group. They will learn to take turns, share, and listen among other skills. Furthermore, students at this age learn through play and so by using these resources the students will learn key pre-k skills like counting, and number recognition as they play games. Lastly, my students will develop skills that will help them stay active and healthy.
This project will make a difference in the lives of my students by supporting their physical education.
My students will learn skills to stay active, which will have a positive effect on the rest of their lives.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
