Children of today are fighting mass obesity rates! In order to help our children's health, we need to have them assess their own health levels. I want my students to be able to develop their own fitness programs based on the Fitnessgram test assessment.
My students live in a high poverty area where school budgets have been cut drastically, which means that I have oversized Physical Education classes.
Many students are grossly obese and are need of immediate help. They don't have the money or tools to help themselves become more healthy.
My Project
If my students are able to input their own test scores for the Fitnessgram assessment, they can not only realize that they need help but be motivated to do something about it. We as educators, want to help them, but students with weight and health issues need their own motivation to continue to live a healthy lifestyle on their own.
My project is so important because it can potentially save their lives.
Realizing and admitting a weight problem is crucial! Over time, my students will be trained about various physical training options. They will learn how to live a healthier lifestyle with proper diet and exercising. The key to whole project is inputting the data to motivate a change!
