This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day in PE, our students come eager to use all the equipment that we have to offer them. Much of the equipment that we have is new to them since they live in low-income areas. We expose them to a variety of games and exercises that encourage them to lead healthy lifestyles.
My students are a group of energetic, intelligent, and enthusiastic children from grades 2nd-5th.
Currently, our school lacks funding to purchase any additional equipment to make PE the exercise opportunity it can be. I feel that this equipment will motivate my students to stay active and fit.
My Project
My students need a variety of sports balls, tennis rackets, and tennis nets due to lack of resources in my school. Having access to all this equipment will allow my students to experience a variety of activities that will enhance their learning and allow them to be exposed to different sports, which otherwise they may never get to experience.
These materials will expose my students to new activities so they can get fit and energized.
It will help them to develop team work and fair play, and help them to become more active in their daily lives.
