My Project

Our 6th–8th grade students are an incredible group of young people—curious, energetic, and full of personality. They bring enthusiasm, humor, and heart into our classrooms every day, and they truly thrive when they have opportunities to move, explore, and play. Middle school is a time when students are discovering who they are, building confidence, and learning to work with others, and physical activity plays a huge role in helping them grow in healthy, positive ways.

To elevate our new campus and give students more opportunities for active play, we hope to add two portable outdoor basketball hoops and new basketballs.

Basketball is one of our students’ favorite ways to connect with one another, and these additions will help us create an inviting, energetic space for friendly games, skill-building, and teamwork during recess. Because the hoops are portable, they allow us to enhance our outdoor area without limiting how the campus can continue to develop over time.

Adding this equipment will enrich our recess environment by offering students more ways to engage in movement, build confidence, and release energy in positive ways. Our middle schoolers benefit tremendously from safe, structured opportunities to be active—and basketball naturally fosters leadership, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. With these resources, students will be able to make the most of their time outside and enjoy their new campus even more.
