This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials requested will allow my Student Council students to create a station full of supplies to use to mentor the younger students they work with. This helps our littles deepen their learning through repeated practice of skills/content in a fun, engaging fashion. They work together on basic foundational skills such as reading fluency, math facts, etc.
We are trying to build community and relationships in our K-8 school by pairing up Student Council members with K-2 students through this mentorship program.
My students are leaders who are trying to make positive change in their school community.
