Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For most of my Kindergarten students, this is their first school experience. They were around 3 - 3 1/2 when the Pandemic started. But they are a wonderful group of students who are so excited about being in school. Most of them are second language learners and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
I teach Kindergarten at a Title I school in Southern California and they deserve the very best.
We are a school of very diverse cultures, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds. And because this is their first school experience, I want them to have everything they need.
My Project
I want my students to have the best experience when they are in my classroom, and this includes technology materials and supplies.
Technology is so important in our classrooms today.
And I want to provide my students with the best. This includes speakers so that they can really engage and hear, when we are using the computer to project videos from all of our curriculum and content. For example, when I am teaching coins to learn their names and values, we can sing about it, which helps with their learning.
