Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students this year love reading novels and they enjoy learning about government and the past through historical fiction. Novels can be a very interesting and successful way to teach history while also encouraging greater empathy and understanding, by enabling students to relate to the past through stories and characters.
Students can also gain a greater comprehension of various viewpoints and cultures by immersing themselves in the lives and experiences of characters from various eras.
My students will love getting their hands on new novels and will enjoy reading them together with their peers. Using novels in the classroom will also foster a love of reading, improve comprehension, and enhance collaboration.
