Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students live and attend school in one of the poorest congressional districts in America. But you wouldn't know that from their smiles, vibrancy, hopes, and dreams.
Many of my students spend their lunch periods diving into different worlds in the pages of books.
Some of them curl up in our "comfy corner", dim the lights, turn on the diffuser and relax into the worlds of the characters. Others stay up way past their bedtimes, trying to finish the latest books to pass them on to their friends. My students are voracious readers and it is hard to afford all the latest books they request.
This book order will allow me to freshen up our library, providing them with the newest "it" books and titles THEY have requested and are excited to read.
