This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at our school are intelligent individuals with many interests. One is reading. Unfortunately, our school does not have a library. It is a proven fact that reading for pleasure builds reading comprehension. It also increases background knowledge, vocabulary, and our understanding of human behavior.
We have recently been blessed with a donation of a little library for our school. I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to get some new books for the students, fill the library and encourage reading for pleasure. This would help all of our upper-grade students.
