My Project

Throughout my years of teaching, I have loved to see how unique and special each individual student is. Each one comes in to the classroom with their own interests, personalities, strengths, and areas of growth. I feel that STEAM activities allow students to use their creative brains for hands on activities. These opportunities allow students to try new things, and problem solve when something doesn't work. In addition, allowing students opportunities for hands-on work that is fun and can lend to their personal interests is a great way to get them engaged in learning and creating. With these STEAM activities, we will be able to connect what we have been learning in math and reading to hands-on learning. We can use the manipulatives to create situations that represent the skills we have learned so that students can apply their new knowledge in a fun and exciting way.
