My Students

"I believe children are the future. Teach them well and let them lead the way." These are not only words from a popular song, but a strong belief that I hold as a teacher.

Equity for all!

My students are full of potential. They are bright shining beacons of light. I am asking for assistance so that they can glow like the stars that they are.

Fortunately, for the students in my class, envisioning the future is something we think of and talk about often. Because their daily existence is so challenging, I have them focus on their bright and delightful futures!

I teach in a low socio-economic area at a Title I school where ninety-nine percent of the population receives free breakfast and lunch at school. On most days, the hardiest and healthiest meals that the students receive are what they eat at school. It isn't unusual for the students in my class to stockpile food in their book bags to take home in order to have something to eat later that day.

Despite the harsh circumstances and backdrops of their lives, the students come to school daily with smiles on their faces.

My Project

My students live in one of the hardest hit areas in America by Covid-19, the Bronx; NY. My students have not only missed a year and 1/2 of in person instruction in school, but they have also experienced personal traumas.

Please help me give my students a way to express their thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions!

My little ones need Writing Notebooks, that will allow them to revel their masterpieces. And a place to store their journals.

Since most of my youngsters are not yet able to compose sentences, they need notebooks, that will allow them to illustrate their work. For these young boys and girls...drawing is like therapy. They will often put into their artwork, what they won't say in words. Please help!
