This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students chromatic tuners so that they can learn how to tune their instruments independently! My second and third year students are excited to learn more about their instrument and how to prepare it for performance.

In this project, I ask for a class set of 20 chromatic tuners, enough for students to share and work in pairs to tune their instruments.

Working in pairs will allow students to build confidence and help each other during our tuning time. These tuners will be used for the first five to ten minutes of each of my six classes. They will also be taken on our performance field trips to elementary schools!
