This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In 3K, students are only permitted 15 minutes of screen time a week. We use music as a way to help students transition between activities and to help them fall asleep during rest time.
Having access to a speaker will allow us to play music for students without the distraction of the Smartboard screen.
A speaker in the classroom would allow me to play transition songs, nap time music, and educational songs during center time. I find that when music is played on the Smartboard, even if it is black screen specific videos, students are drawn to and distracted by the board being on.
