This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a mix of students with special education needs and general education students. All of my students' needs are vast, but they love to learn and they work very hard. They want to grow as students, as well as individuals. They are a class of individuals with many different learning styles and needs.

My students are learners and they try their hardest to be the best students they can.

However, many of them have learning disabilities or speech and language delays. They learn in many different ways and have many different needs.

Many of my students come from low, socioeconomic homes and school is their safety net. We are a Title I school where all of our students receive free lunch. It's a place where they feel safe and cared for.

My Project

Wobble chairs can be beneficial to students who have trouble focusing. It allows students to move or wiggle while at their desk or work area, this way they can focus more effectively on their learning.” ... Wobble chairs are designed to allow the child to move while sitting and learning. My special education students need these wobble chairs in order for them to focus in the classroom. At times, they lean back on their regular chairs in the classroom and that can be very dangerous to the student. These chairs are a great option for students who fidget or need movement while working.
