My Students
Children are exposed to amazing technology in their everyday life. Classrooms need to incorporate technology to make engaging lessons for our leaders of the future. Imagine all the ways a digital camera can be used in all areas of study in the elementary classroom. It is exciting to think about!
My school has a diverse group of learners.
There are families from different socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as ethnic backgrounds. Some children have computers at home, while others do not. Some children are ESL, and may not have parents at home that speak English. Education is important for all children, and technological experience, as well as engaging activities, are very important.
My Project
Cameras are a basic tool which can be used in so many ways. Cameras can be used to explain an understanding of a topic, or inspire writing. Students will learn how to download pictures to the computer and create slide shows or PowerPoints. Some children at my school may not have access to these basic skills of creating products which will be very important for them to know in the upper grades.
I want my students to be ready for their future.
Along with the other important subjects, Math, English, and Science for example, they need to have technological expertise to create products to share and show their learning. I am asking for two cameras which the students will be using.
