My Students

I teach kindergarten to 18 students in a small, neighborhood PreK-6 school in Texas. Students in our school sometimes speak different languages at home. The loving families of my students want the best for their children, and so do I. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch every day.

I love to provide social emotional learning opportunities for my students.

My Project

My students love to get creative. My in person students work hard during Zoom meetings with our at home learners, at centers, during guided reading, and on Seesaw activities. Sometimes students need some down time to just play and be creative.

This year especially, it's important to focus on the emotional needs of my students.

They are working hard on academics and having to distance from each other and play alone when finished....that's hard for 5 and 6 year olds! Having a great storage organizer and lots of choices for creative play will help my students feel happy. We need magnet tiles, pop beads, Zoobs, and more. Students will also be able to take pictures of creations they build and upload them to Seesaw so that we can have a sharing time to let everyone feel proud. Social emotional learning is so important, and play is a great way to make it happen.
