This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school district has a high ELL population. In the elementary school (pre-K – 4), 73% are ELL students. As of 2018, 60% of our students receive free lunch and 20% receive reduced lunch. Our community has two large manufacture plants and large farms that attract families to the area.
Our students are diverse.
They have different cultural backgrounds and families. We have students from different cultures and they learn to assimilate in our school environment. Our students range in ability as well. We have students with different academic, physical, and emotional needs and we encourage inclusion and understanding with all of our students.
My Project
This cricut maker would help me make my hands-on and interactive materials that I use with my students. It takes a lot of time and prep to make many of the activities that I use with my students and having a cricut maker would cut that time down considerably.
From turning building blocks into letter or number cubes to visuals on pencils, walls, and doors, the cricut does it all!
Help us to keep learning fun and new through the use of the cricut maker and all that it offers!
