Help me give my students open-ended creative experiences creating art with the Kwik Stik paint sticks, strengthening their fine motor skills with Play-Doh and building amazing structures with Keva Maple Planks.
The students who attend our school are students from diverse backgrounds. Many attend our school from outside of our immediate area specifically because of the location in a small mountain community. They come because we are a high performing school and we are a Certified Wildlife Habitat as designated by the National Wildlife Federation. We utilize our outdoor areas to enhance education.
The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds and become a classroom family in our shared space.
The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten children range in ages from 4 to 6 years old. They are curious and creative children who enjoy learning and playing and who thrive in a stimulating classroom environment that supports fostering their independence.
I am excited to enrich my classroom with new art materials and the paint sticks are the perfect addition. The paint dries quickly so the children will be able to take their creations home the day they are created. The Play Doh will engage fine motor skills by developing the muscle strength needed for holding pencils and crayons.
Learning is a lot more fun when children are actively engaged in hands-on activities.
I am so excited about the Kēva maple planks. They are open-ended and inspire creativity. The children can work alone on a project or cooperatively on a large project. The ideas shared and projects created will complement the STEM activities we do in class.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
