Let's Get Cooking

My school kitchen project needs aprons, cookware, baking pans, bowls, mixing spoons and measuring tools for a school kitchen.

This project is fully funded

I work at a K-5 school in rural eastern North Carolina. When our school was built, one of the classrooms was designed as a kitchen. The purpose of this room was to provide hands-on cooking opportunities for teachers to conduct with their classes.

Due to large class sizes over the years, the "classroom kitchen" has been used as a regular "self-contained" classroom. No one has been able to utilize this facility because of this. For the 2008-2009 school year, my principal made several staff/classroom changes and has been able to free up the "classroom kitchen" for teacher use again.

With this in mind, our school must refurbish this room in preparation for the coming year. I would like to have cookbooks, aprons, cookware, bakeware, and other utensils in place to use with their students.

What a wonderful opportunity we now have to finally utilize this kitchen facility. Teachers will be able to integrate reading, math, social studies, and science skills all in one as they are reading recipes and baking new dishes. I am so excited about the possibilities...So Let's Get Cooking!!!
