My Students

Help us get connected! There is a world of music out there, and my students need a way to harness it and make it easily accessible.

I teach Pre-K through third grade music in a small Title One school district in New Jersey.

My students love learning, and I love teaching them! They come to music class with open minds- ready to learn, and ready to have fun! I want them to have access to music from anywhere, so that our musical explorations can be limitless.

My Project

With the Sonos speaker and iPad mini (and protective case), I can place listening equipment in the front of the room, as opposed to playing music from my computer and speakers located in the back of the room. Students will experience music with quality sound equipment. The Sonos app will be downloaded to the iPad, and this powerful program will allow us to access my personal music library, as well as music from a multitude of programs, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. We will be able to instantly access any piece of recorded music from any source. A corollary benefit to providing this equipment is enhancing my students' 21st century skills by providing them with these technological resources that they are likely unfamiliar with.

Providing students with a high quality music education includes giving them exposure to a diverse catalog of recorded music, and having it sound great.

With the new speaker and iPad, I'll be doing just that!
