Excited, driven and motivated! These are just three words to describe the 30 first grade students I will welcome this year. My students are from diverse backgrounds. Each child that enters my room is unique, special and talented in their own way. We come together as a community of learners that build up and support each other. My students' love for learning inspires me to be a better teacher each year.

My Project
My students love to read and need easy access to books in our classroom library. A new bookshelf will help to better organize our library and make books more easily borrowed and put away.
Children like to learn in comfortable places that are bright and colorful.
A new comfy couch in the library would be a great place for quiet reading or reading with a buddy. A new classroom carpet is a great place for us to gather, share stories and read books together. A large carpet gives each child their own space. The bright colors make the classroom more inviting and fun!
