Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a prep called Academic Enrichment to students in grades K through 8. The students in my classes range from age 5 -15. My school is a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My school is located in a high poverty area in Philadelphia.
In my classes we work on basic skills in both reading and math.
Despite the struggles and lack of materials the students come to school willing and ready to learn.
My Project
Many of my students have been getting colds lately. My students need hand sanitizer, clorox wipes, paper towels, a broom and dust pan, medical gloves and tissues in order to cut down on the amount of germs and absences.
At the end of each period the students will wipe down the desks using the wipes and medical gloves.
They will use the tissues and hand sanitizer to help prevent others from getting colds. The Lysol spray will be used in the morning and at the end of the day to help kill the germs. Thanks so much for considering this project and helping my students to stay well.
