Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have first-grade students who are motivated to learn new strategies and would love to have light activities where they could grow their excitement for learning even more.
My gifted students love learning about light with our science standards but the light tables would take it to another level of learning for them.
The students could have meaningful conversations, which creates great instant feedback for teacher engagement.
I also am excited to try new manipulatives that could push students to design and think outside of the box. Many of my students come from lower status and they do not have the resources that other students may be introduced to.
