Let's Get Back to the Basics

My students need constant review of the foundations of reading and writing, so what better way to review than to play one of these 40 games?

My Students

Each day a student goes to school they learn something new. While all of that new learning is fantastic, a strong foundation in the basics is so important!

This school year, I have had the pleasure of working with and teaching 25 very eager second-grade students.

Most of the students had never been a part of a class with more than 12 students. Due to cuts in the district budget, all of the students were put together in my classroom, and I couldn't imagine not being the teacher of a single one of them!

My Project

I am requesting 40 file folder games: ten grammar and writing games, ten reading comprehension games, ten word work games, and ten vocabulary games. Each of these file folder games is self-contained and ready for students to grab and play. They are also self-checking to give students the feedback they need to continue to grow.

New learning can be difficult to build upon without a firm foundation in the basics.

Help my students continue to independently practice the basics in reading and writing, while I help them reach new levels of learning!
