Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Support our keiki (children) to be motivated to be active outdoors!

Physical activity is not only important for physical health, but mental health and wellbeing, as well.

Students deserve just as much opportunity to be active as adults. These requested sports items will help my students enjoy their outside play and activity time. These sports items will encourage my students to want to participate and choose from a wide variety of outdoor activities such as kickball, basketball, volleyball, jump-roping, four-square, and so much more!

By providing students with a wide variety of choices, I hope to encourage all of my students to find some way to be active when we are outside as a class for recess. Many of my students thoroughly enjoy playing outdoors and I would like to continue to grow their love of being active outdoors.

The carpet will also allow for my students to have an area to either focus on a lesson, work individually, read individually, or play with STEM toys/magnets.
