My Project

Wow! What a way to get motivated about literacy! This special vending machine will help our kids stay excited about reading. Finding a fun and creative way is often hard! We strive to bridge the gap between literacy and engagement.

We have all seen hundreds of vending machines selling sodas, candy, and junk food galore, but have you ever heard of a book vending machine?

This machine will be the star of the school. It will fulfill not just an academic reward, but a behavioral reward as well. The Bookworm is a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program that uses golden Inchy tokens as a reward for positive actions.

Inchy tokens can then be inserted into the Bookworm machine granting the student one free book to keep and treasure forever!

When a student earns a golden Inchy tokens as a reward for any type of positive actions. That token can then be inserted into the machine granting the student one free book to vend and keep, helping to build their home library. It will reinforce the desired behavior and or habit by rewarding the student with a special Inchy golden token! We believe that our students are the best and deserve as many incentives as we can give to make them believe that they are truly special.
